In 2010, the 59tCO2e of greenhouse gases produced by the show was offset using Gold Standard credits from a methane capturing landfill project in China.

The Landfill to Energy Conversion Project collects the gas from a large landfill site, processes the gas into electricity and feeds this into the Suzhou City local power grid.
